  • I attended an event design class at Pottery Barn over the weekend and while the class itself offered few inspirations, walking around the store with an open mind, I came up with several concepts.

Items that are somewhat substantial in size, but have a smaller base are easy diy centerpieces. Just put a 1/4″ of water in the base and add a large bloom {stem cut near the bloom}.

Having two different sizes that coordinates adds interest to the room. Items like this are easy to gift to friends and relatives as a thank you.
Consider this box with a photo insert for a card box. It too can be repurposed in your home!
For a friend’s wedding, we selected these lantern hooks that will hang mason jars along the aisle.

To hold the candles in place, I recommend using brown sugar because it’s a little sticky and gives the same effect as sand.

These jars can later be repurposed as decor for cocktail tables, the bar area, etc.
