I love Valentine’s Day. Some may call it a Hallmark holiday, but I look at it as a way to show my love and appreciation for others in an otherwise quiet month. When you don’t manage to send Christmas cards, you can send Valentine’s. When you don’t manage to gift to those you wanted to, Valentine’s provides you with another opportunity, that is even more memorable. Whether you want to enjoy a quiet night in with your significant other, share an evening of wine & chocolate with your girlfriends, or give sweet little gifts, wine & truffles are a nice way to show your love & appreciation. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love chocolate? Enjoy my favorite recipe for easy chocolate truffles with a hint of red wine flavor. You can go ahead and cancel that dinner reservation.
Shall we get started? Simmer cream, then add wine {optional}. This is where the magic happens.
Pour over chocolate and stir until smooth. Refrigerate until solid. Roll into balls and dust with cocoa powder.
All recipes should be this easy – and indulgent, right? Continue below for the recipe card with all the details.
Party for one? Why not? Two or more? Go for it! Chris & I love indulging on chocolate & wine, but it’s also an easy way to entertain friends.
These truffles pair well with Pinot Noir. I love serving it when we have guests because it’s a crowd pleaser {much like these little truffles}. For convenience, we have it shipped straight to our door along with La Crema’s Monterey Chardonnay. I used 31% cacao milk chocolate for these delectable truffles. You can also order wine & chocolates paired to perfection!
