Caramel sauce is practically a staple around our house. It’s great for dipping apples or mini muffins topping a brownie sundae and even a great syrup for specialty French toast! I often make my fleur de sel caramel sauce, but this is an excellent alternative that’s just as good and doesn’t require a watchful eye.

Easy Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 c brown sugar packed
- 1/2 c heavy cream
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium-low, combine brown sugar, cream, butter & salt. Whisky for 5-7 minutes until it thickens. Add vanilla & continue to whisk for another minute. Remove from heat and refrigerate to store.
