DIY Stationery

The cards were originally purchased for my bridesmaids gifts 5 years ago.  I always have a surplus of envelopes because I inevitably change my mind a few times while writing notes.  These gold lined envelopes were from a Crane stationary set.

Measuring the envelope first, I appropriate cut the card to size.

Using images from Graphics Fairy, I eliminated the background {select magic eraser tool and click on white area} in Photoshop and added color to the images {clicking on the image and using the colorize wheel}.
Finally, in Microsoft Word, I create a document {in Page Setup} the size of the notecard.  Insert the image where you would like it to print.  If you’re unfamiliar, cut a couple sheets of paper to size and test print on those first.  It’s an easy way to create personalized stationary or invitations!
These were invitations to an end of summer party.  To see the details, click here!
