Filling your home with art doesn’t have to be expensive, although the frames can be. Fortunately, there are a lot of options to recreate beautiful frames. A few months ago I shared a gilded frame tutorial, however, it wasn’t quite the look I wanted for the dining room. I wanted something simple and sophisticated. I found a 2 pack of 11×13 white frames from Michael’s for $10. While they looked cheap, I knew they had potential. I sprayed them with Krylon’s shortcuts in gold and used a double mat {just $5 each} to complete the art gallery aesthetic.
I tend to change my artwork with the seasons {or my mood}, so the art itself too has to be reasonable. Using my favorite card stock – Paper Source luxe in cream, I printed the image above from Graphics Fairy. In 15 minutes and for just under $15 each, I had beautiful artwork to compliment my dining room. Click here for more easy art ideas: raised prints and luxe linen
