Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Cream Cheese – Softened. Use low fat, non-fat or regular cream cheese, whichever you prefer. Learn more about How to Soften Cream Cheese.
  • Fudge Topping – Melted. Choose your favorite brand, we keep it simple with this one.
  • Oreos – Crushed. I use traditional Oreos, but see no reason why you couldn’t experiment with your favorite flavor. Have fun with it!

Variations

  • Replace the fudge topping with melted caramel and dip apples to make a Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Spread that no one will be able to resist! Crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers would be such a great sub for Oreos here.
  • Melt peanut butter and pour over cream cheese for another decadent option. Serve with pretzels and bananas.
  • Serve with: Oreos, strawberries, bananas, pretzel sticks, pound cake, brownies, rice krispy treats, marshmallows, graham crackers

  3. Using a spoon, press the center of the cream cheese working your way to the edges to create a well or a “lip” to hold the fudge in.
  4. Pour warm fudge over cream cheese and garnish with Oreos.
