If you haven’t noticed, I’m over-the-moon excited about our lake cottage. I’ve been anxious to return all week and can’t stop thinking about floating on the lake, finding a boat and making s’mores with the girls.

It’s so peaceful, I can’t help but feel that with every weekend, a vacation lies ahead of us.

I mixed up some champagne slushies for easy weekend sips at the lake. It’s kind of like a boozie smoothie, just in time for the weekend.

And you know with vacations sometimes comes a little day drinking. I made these champagne slushies to enjoy a little day drinking without risk of over consuming while getting a healthy dose of fruit in as well.

Why You’ll Love this Recipe

Since this boozie smoothie consists of champagne and fruit, I also think it’s perfectly acceptable to enjoy at brunch.

It’s also light enough to enjoy a glass (or two) on a summer afternoon. It’s so refreshing and such an easy drinker, and quite honestly, champagne is never a bad idea!

I love how quick and easy it is to make a batch of these strawberry cocktails.

Ingredients

You need just two ingredients to make this refreshing summer strawberry cocktail.

  • Strawberries – Use frozen strawberries for a quick and easy way to make these grown up slushies. You can either buy them frozen, or freeze fresh strawberries.
  • Champagne – I like to use champagne in this drink, but you can also use Prosecco, which is lighter and fruitier, or your favorite sparkling wine.

How To Make Champagne Slushies

You can easily make a batch of these cocktails in minutes!

  1. Blend strawberries until smooth.
  2. Blend in chilled champagne and serve immediately.

Tips

  • Be sure to chill your champagne before you add it to the frozen fruit. If the champagne is warm the ice will melt too quickly.
  • It’s best to make them as soon as you plan to serve them so that they stay iced and the champagne doesn’t lose its fizz.
  • Garnish with a fresh strawberry, but a lemon or lime slice would work equally as well.
  • Why not try this champagne slushie with different berries? Frozen blueberries, blackberries and raspberries will all work well.
  • If you prefer your slushies thicker, once the frozen strawberries are blended, you can add in ice cubes and blend until you get your preferred thickness.
