Cha-cha-cha-changes Mid Week Fix Six

fresh and beautiful fall decorations

Have you ever had so many things on your mind that you felt like your head might explode if you didn’t share it with the world? My to do list is never ending, but I have so man things I want to share with you, that I thought I’d bump the Mid-Week Fix Six up a day and just celebrate a little early. Maybe we should all take Friday off? Anyways, there are so many fun things going on in our home and I am so excited that the weather has started to change. I forgot the beautiful glow that we enjoy in our home during fall and how much I love watching the trees dance in the wind.

instagram feeds to follow for home, lifestyle and recipes

First of all, I couldn’t believe that I hit over 20,000 Instagram followers over the weekend! I’m still jumping for joy! I’ve never been that strong on social media, but love connecting with you there. After spending some time with my friend Ali of Gimme Some Oven last week, I envision myself standing in a room with 20,000 people waiting to see what I’m going to share. Wow. Side note, if you haven’t tried one of her recipes yet, you should. They’re fantastic and her site looks like a magazine – without the chaos.

I’m also excited that I am finally having my site designed this spring. I have never had my site professionally designed, nor any web design training. I’ve never loved the aesthetic and there are so many things I can’t wait to change. If you have any thoughts on what you like/dislike about website design, let me know. I want to make it friendly for you to grab a cup of cider and peruse and would love your input!

home blogger Julie Blanner shares her home decorated for summer

Currently, I’m trying to finish my office, but I seem to keep getting distracted. WHY? A few weeks ago, I had Chris put my credenza on a large sheet of kraft paper so that I could repaint it and it’s still there. I just can’t seem to find the motivation. Oops! I’m also working on the girls’ bunk bedroom at the lake house. Currently, I’m contemplating paint colors {I just might not use “white”} and a light fixture. Oh the choices!

What’s new with you?

Onto the 6!

Lauren Liess finished another home and it’s beautiful! However, as much as I love it, I’m still dying a little inside that she painted the hardwood floors. You can see it here. What do you think?

I just love her style and am still swooning over her Christmas decor from a couple years ago.

This reminds me of a little eatery in Denver and Jessica is as sweet as her recipes.

This has always been my favorite line at Target, but they overwhelmed me this season with hints of Napa, at a fraction of the price. They’re carrying pieces like the pots I picked up in St. Helena, a pretty brass planter, and wheat sheaves if you don’t want to make your own.

Julie, I absolutely love, love, love your style and blog!! Everything is so clean and fresh!! I am a St. Louis girl, also!! The only thing on your website I would change…is the recipe section…even though I had a lovely time scrolling through all of your posts…it might be easier to have all of the ‘sweet treats’, pastas, etc. together. Keep on, keepin’ on, girl!! You do STL proud!!

Thank you, Deanna! Honestly, I had intended to do that when I built my site, couldn’t figure it out and dropped the ball! I’m so thankful you mentioned it. I’m having my developer add it in next week. Thank you!
