  • September was such a beautiful month, I cannot believe it has already come & gone. As the leaves begin to change, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the highlights. In a month that came & went quickly, it reminds me that it was filled with great friends, family, & memories. It also helps me recognize that we are making progress in our home – but that our life is balanced.

In case you missed anything, here is September in review – full of fall fun & flavor!

Flavors of Fall | The best fall baking & dinner recipes

I made an apple tart, pumpkin gooey butter cake & mini cinnamon apple bread loaves to gift. Fall baking week continues through Friday :). I also shared my browned butter butternut squash pasta recipe & steak sliders to embrace the flavors of fall. More great fall dinner recipes coming next week!

Home advice & beautiful diy projects

I shared my advice to maximize space in a small kitchen, how to make a mudroom functional & how to paint concrete floors. I taught you how to save money on paint, while achieving the colors you love & how to turn anything into beautiful brass! I also shared the woes of my Restoration Hardware trestle table from salvaged wood that had me trying to salvage my sanity.

    Fall entertaining & decorating ideas

Of course we had to celebrate! From an easy outdoor wine tasting with a crostini bar made from staples to the family & friends that passed through, it was a fun month! I decorated our home for fall & shared how to create your own fall vignettes & a 5 minute centerpiece.

    Celebrate September

Oh, and we can’t forget that time that I met Nate Berkus & looked unbelievably awkward. Did you read about his design tips or the BHG Stylemaker Workshop? I always love making a friend’s day with a simple gift or welcoming guests into our home. Don’t miss my tips for making a guest room {and a welcome gift basket}!

What a month it was! I enjoy finding something to celebrate every day & look forward to 31 days of October! What are you celebrating today?

    Julie
