Urban Table

I’m not sure what I was more enamored with when dining at Urban Table earlier this week-the food or the design.  While I wasn’t anticipating finding this new Prairie Village restaurant so inspirational, I can’t resist sharing, despite only having iPhone photos.
Down to the pillows, the selections they made were impeccable!  Above, Adalyn is perusing the menu.  She enjoyed the Croque-Monsieur {ham, gruyere and mornay sauce on egg bread}.

I love their mix of light fixtures.  I thought this one would work well in our new half bath!  They also incorporated hanging wire lampshades and exterior lighting that is to die for!

You may recall my visit to Angele in Napa and how I loved the use of dish towels as napkins.  Well, the trend has officially hit the midwest!

White subway tile, metal tables and an eclectic mix of chairs completed the look of the restaurant.  They also incorporated heavy grey wood shelving and Restoration Hardware-like wood floors.  Perfection!
Alright, enough about the decor!  The other highlight was their bruschetta.  So many inspirational combinations I cannot wait to create at home.  We selected:
proscuitto, figs and marscapone
brie, pears and truffle oil
roasted chicken, apricot jam and fontina
golden beets, goat cheese and almonds
