Children’s Photo Shoot Ideas | Adalyn

I decided that it was definitely time for Adalyn to have another photo session.  Her last professional photographs were taken when she was just 9 months.  Rachel with RPM Photography and I decided on an “all things summer” theme.  Needless to say, Adalyn had a great time!  After all, it was her first time experiencing cotton candy and suckers!
When photographing children, you want them to be comfortable and have fun.  For my child, happiness is eating a slice of watermelon!  Well, I think she had 3 this afternoon.  She just couldn’t get enough!  Below, Adalyn is indulging on a quilt that my grandmother made me.
Did you know?  We’re expecting!  Adalyn enjoyed waving her “I’m a big sister” pennant.  Designed in Microsoft Word and printed on inkjet linen bookcloth, it was an easy 10 minute project.  E-mail me for the template, print, cut and adhere to a dowel or skewer with glue and double stick tape.

“Is this ball really mine?”

We call this her Elvis smirk.

Adalyn enjoyed playing with hydrangeas picked from our garden.

While sometimes posed photographs are nice, I prefer capturing all the little moments that allow Adalyn’s personality to shine.  It’s so much more personal than a studio session.  Isn’t she sweet?

Life is good!  Thanks for allowing me to share a glimpse into my personal life!
